Notes <3 Open to anyone | Poppystar of ThunderClan Come on skinny love Everything was quiet, as if the world was holding its breathe as she walked. In fact it seemed almost too silent as her tiny paws seeped into the muddy soil. Groaning Poppystar wrinkled her nose in slight disgust as her blue eyes flickered upwards to the treeline. Not even a single breeze stirred the budding leaves, nor any fur along her pelt. Poppystar felt her distress grow as she began to fidget. The dormancy of the territory was making her uncomfortable. No prey could be heard scurrying through the undergrowth and though it was still early in the new season but being low on food was not something she wanted her warriors to face. Taking a deep breath Poppystar pushed the lack of prey to the back of her mind. Instead she gritted her teeth in determination as she strutted forward. Her breath only wheezing out ever so slightly when the fluttering in her stomach surprised her. Her patrols were done for the day, while the warriors in the Clan were off training and focusing upon the young. She'd spent a good time supervising the hunting portions and battling sessions. Quieting her curiosity on how the apprentices within the Clan were doing. It had been a busy day truth be told. Not only had the warriors been moving about nonstop but so had the whole Clan. In fact most everyone in the camp had spent the better part of the morning bringing in moss soaked with water and herbs for the medicine den. She was tired now from the satisfying few hours she had participated in but she kept trudging forward. She needed to keep things going. Whether it was making sure the apprentices remained busy or even helping with patrols. It didn't matter because if everyone was preoccupied it gave no room for any attention to fall upon her. Besides when the clan was left with idle paws it left everyone at risk. Risk for more failure. For sickness, or catastrophe like storms to hit. Though there was nothing she could do to prevent the later. The Clan was still rebuilding their numbers, and so many were working hard to keep things moving smoothly. In fact with less members that meant there really was no time for anyone to slack off. Which she felt a sort of guilt for. Sometimes fun was needed to keep stress at bay and of course the little ones needed it as well. Feeling her guilt surge Poppystar flickered a curious look behind her. Her ears swiveling as she tried to pick up any noise. She was actually taking a sort of break herself right now. Mostly to clear her mind from...well everything that was plaguing her. Unfortunately, though it was probably well deserved, she wasn't exactly enjoying herself. Instead the guilt for skipping out on her other duties flickered in the back of her skull and she fought the feeling of being watched. It wasn't like anyone in the Clan would judge her. She really did need a break. Breathing deep she sat beneath a large tree, tucking her petite paws beneath her frame. Taking a deep breath Poppystar's bright blue eyes swept the forest around her. Watching as a few raindrops hit the leaves. More rain....what a surprise. Maybe she'd go look for Frostlion, that way she would be keeping herself busy instead of napping in the increasing rain. She could feel her eyelids growing heavier the longer she sat and besides that she needed to talk to him anyways. "Come on Poppy don't be wimp." She muttered to herself softly as her anxiety flared. It wasn't like she could hide it much longer anyways. Though she liked to pretend nothing was actually going on with her...or rather inside her. Poppystar looked down at her belly. Wondering if anyone else had noticed that she had actually gained a little weight. Just last the year |
